Release Blitz and Book Review : Looking To Score by Alley Ciz

3.5 Stars 🌟  Looking to Score  is the first book in the U if J series which is a new adult sports romance series. This book can not be read as a standalone and does end of a cliffhanger. It is book 1 of 3 that follows the couple  Mason & Kayla Kayla  is a feisty, sassy, sarcastic heroine who may be small but she packs a punch. She is also cautious and socially reserved in certain aspects of her life. Having been burnt in the past she doesn't trust easily and likes to keep people she doesn't know at bay. Mason  is a hot shot jock, typical playboy, funny, charismatic, can be charming & sweet at times. He has some trust issues of his own that adds some emotional baggage and he doesn't really let people all the way in. After these two meet Mason can't help but be enamored by Kayla. They have that push & pull dynamic with some witty banter & sizzling chemistry. They also have some cute moments, some steam and a whole lot of new adult drama. Th...

Release Blitz and Book Review : Fragile Hearts by Amber Kelly

3.5 Stars 🌟 Fragile Hearts  is the 4th book in the small town country romance series Poplar Falls. It follows Brandt & Bellamy and is a slowburn, friends to lovers work place romance. Bellamy   is temporarily back home in Poplar Falls after graduating and waiting to hear back from her dream job. While home she decides to help out and work with the local vet. She is a lively, sweet, empathetic and fun loving character. She is so full of life & passionate also as focused on what she wants her future to look like. She is such a good strong & level headed heroine who would fight hard for the people she loves. Brandt  is the local vet who is still fairly new in town and from previous books we got the sense that he had an emotionally damaged background and holds in a lot of pain. I had a feeling what his back story would be but reading about the specifics was very heartbreaking. He tends to keep most people at bay & doesn't see himself worthy of love but...

Release Blitz and Book Review : The Wreckage of Us by Brittainy Cherry

3.75 Stars 🌟 The Wreckage of Us  is a standalone new adult music influenced/small town romance. It's opposites attract, slowburn, slight enemies to friends to lovers romances with some drama, angst and a whole lot of cuteness. Hazel  is young, sassy, funny, quarded, emotionally mature & expressive. She is caring, selfless, slightly naive at times and tends to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders. Her upbringing and family background was depressive & heartbreaking at times but I love how determined she was to do better and create a future for her and her sister. I really loved her even though she could be frustrating at times. Ian   started off as a typical playboy and it took me longer to warm up to his character but I really ended up loving him the more we got to know him. He had trust issues and emotional baggage from his childhood and was not at all interested in starting up a relationship but the more he got to know Hazel the deeper he...

Release Blitz and Book Review : Only One Kiss by Natasha Madison

2.75 🌟 Only One Kiss  is the first book in a spinoff series. This is is  Ralph & Candace's  story and is a single dad hockey romance which is usually right up my alley but sadly I did not love this one was much as I thought I would. Even though this is stylized as a standalone I found the beginning of the book wasn't as smooth of a transition for someone like me who has not read the previous series connected to this story. There were a lot of names and characters thrown in and family dynamics which left me feeling like I had missed part of the story though luckily for me that did eventually go away and I was able to fully immerse myself into this world and set of characters. Ralph -  I loved how much he cared about his daughter and how he was willing to do everything he could to make sure she always felt loved. He was emotional conflicted at times but I actually enjoyed when he did eventually show his true feelings and emotions regarding everything he was...

Release Blitz and Book Review : Drive Me Wild by Melanie Harlow

4 Stars 🌟 Drive Me Wild  is the first book in a new series of standalone small town romances. It follows  Griffin & Blair  in this light hearted, steamy, sweet, low angst with an all round fun rom com vibe. Griffin  is grumpy, slightly closed off emotionally and convinced he will always be better off alone. He has things he is still dealing with from his past as well as trying to figure out a way to keep his business running and succeeding he definitely does not have anytime for love or relationships. Blair  is sweet, adorbale with a hint of sass. She is flirty and playful while also having goals on how she wants to set up her new life and prove her independence. The whole Grump/Sunshine dynamic is one of my favourites in romances and I really enjoyed how it played out in this story though Griffin definitely could've been grumpier (the more grumpier the better imo) but Blair was the perfect Sunshine to his Grump. Their chemistry and connection was co...
